LONDON - APRIL 21, 2025: With plans continuing at pace ahead of the inaugural NorthEngland FC v South England FC fixture, we are committed to making the first-ever match of this kind a memorable one by ensuring we deliver the finest lineup of players available to create the most competitive and entertaining contest.
We have already confirmed our two leading figures in the dugout in former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth FA Cup-winning manager Harry Redknapp and legendary Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler for South England FC and North England FC, respectively.
On the playing side, we have also recently announced the inclusions of two leading former England internationals in five-time Premier League champion John Terry and two-time Champions League winner Steve McManaman who will be on opposite sides of the great divide.
We have also generated great interest from a number of other leading former Premier League stars to be a part of this event, however due to either existing engagements or injuries, some are unable to commit to the current date of Sunday June 1.
In order to ensure all the great names that are interested in playing in our inaugural contest have the best opportunity to do so, we have therefore made the decision to reschedule this event to Sunday September 7, during the international break.
We are excited to share further updates with you on this and new additions to each squad as and when they are fully confirmed in the coming weeks.
With a new date now confirmed, any supporter who has already purchased a ticket for the initial date will receive a full refund to their original method of payment. Should any supporter have any further questions, they should contact info@footballorigin.co.uk
